The Admission Acceptance system allows prospect students

to confirm their acceptance to join UAEU. This enhancement

allows the students to download and print the acceptance

letter in PDF format. Also, the acceptance letter is sent to the

student email. The acceptance letter is adjusted to match

new requirements from the Admission Department, part of

the new requirements is to place the student’s photo in the

Admission Letter.

Workflow automation is an easy way to streamline manual

and paper-based processes often comprised of unstructured

tasks involving people, processes, and content. For this

helps in fetching all information about the requester without having to fill this

In this phase, 9 forms are currently available on the portal are converted into online

forms. The forms are automated to ease the filling request, ease the approval process

and also ease the creation of Helpdesk tickets where immediately after approval, the

requested is transferred to the Helpdesk system to create a ticket and assign it to the

proper team to implement the request.

The online forms are created using SharePoint 2016 Workflow, JavaScript, SPServices,

and JQuery. The forms are integrated with Banner system.

The Career Planning & Alumni Department and Division of Information Technology

worked together to replace the current iWIL system with a new internship system that

will support the colleges and students for all administrative operations related tasks

in the internship. The system will resolve current issues being faced in the iWIL system.

The new system allows students to search the directory of Internship Providers and

select the internship provider for their internship program. The system automates and

simplifies the administrative work for the College Coordinator to prepare and setup

the internship program each semester.

The system is built using Java 1.6, JSP, JavaScript, CSS3, JQuery and Bootstrap

technologies. Backend database Oracle 12c, and the system is integrated with Banner,

Blackboard and Active Directory.
