The Department of Student Activities and Residence Life, part of the Student Affairs and Enrollment Unit, organized a campaign for campus employees under the heading - My Profession Does Not Reduce My Value. The main participants were a group of female students from the Department of Mass Communication. The three day campaign aimed at familiarizing members of the UAEU community with the efforts made by cleaners and other staff members and to instill respect and appreciation for these employees.

On the first day students distributed meals to the campus cleaners and thanked them for their important role in maintaining a clean environment. Approximately 40 meals were distributed.

On the second day students and some teachers worked as cleaners in the food court at the university; they cleared tables, cleaned floors, removed garbage and collected leftovers from tables. This amazed the majority of other students. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the role and importance of cleaners and to show appreciation for their work. Other students were impressed by this initiative and started to give their support to the campaign.

On the final day of the campaign students thanked the cleaning staff and honored them for serving the community.
