UAEU (United Arab Emirates University) and Al Ain Municipality, honored the Higher Organizing Committee of the 3^rd International Conference on Engineering Geophysics and its subcommittees and teams which was held during (11-15) November 2015.

The honoring ceremony was attended by His Excellency Engineer Suhail Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Infrastructure and Assets in Al Ain Municipality, and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Conference, Dr. Ahmed Murad, Dean of the College of Science and Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee, Prof. Hayder A. Baker, Professor of Geology at the College of Science, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, and members of Sub-committees organizing the Conference.

Al Muhairi thanked the University, the members of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Conference, subcommittees and working groups for their great effort made to contribute to the success of the international event, which is important to Al Ain City and the UAE, under which it has become one of the global initiatives included by the federal government in its agenda of global events for the UAE.

Al Muhairi said: "On behalf of Al Ain Municipality, I express my thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of this important global event, and I especially thank the Scientific Committee for the world-class scientific and research papers presented during the Conference, as well as the Media and Communication Committee at UAEU for their organization, attention to detail, exceptional hospitality and media exposure of the Conference, which was attended by more than 29 countries.”

Dr. Ahmed Murad delivered a speech, saying this global event has been successful as a result of the concerted efforts with Al Ain Municipality, and he expressed his thanks to various departments involved.

Dr Murad then proceeded to deliver a statistical presentation of  data collected during the Conference in order to identify the areas for improvement in the coming years.  116 participants from 77 countries participated in the survey and expressed their satisfaction, with 97% confirming their participation in future events.

At the end of the ceremony, all the members of the Higher Committee, subcommittees and working groups were honored.
