In cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Enrollment Deanship at the United Arab Emirates University took part in an academic counseling program for twelfth grade students (2015/2016). It was also held in collaboration with the Higher Education Planning and Coordination Department from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. There were a number of colleges and universities and a number of schools from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain involved.

This counseling campaign aims to introduce students to the academic programs and facilities at UAEU: its cutting-edge research and also extra-curricular activities, all of which enrich the student experience and ensure they make the best of their time at university. It also dealt with other services offered by the university. Academic counselors introduced students to the university admission requirements and informed them about the colleges and majors offered. This is an effort by UAEU to attract students to join the university for the coming academic year. The counselors also answered questions about studying at UAEU.

The counseling program was launched in early October and is an important contribution made to counsel high school students. This helps to create an efficient university environment and promote student awareness as to their responsibilities once they are on their post-secondary academic path. The counseling program will continue until the 5^th of November.
