Rector of The United Arab Emirates University addresses faculty:

His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, met with faculty and administrators recently and reviewed a number of points which all contribute to improving the university and are also related to institutional accreditation; UAEU’s strategic, the preparation of students and other topics. The address took place on Thursday 17^th September /2015 in the university administration building.

Dr. Al Noaimi welcomed faculty by saying that, “the main engine in any academic institution is its teaching staff. The university expects you to give of your best experiences and skills to enhance student learning”. Dr. Al Noaimi also mentioned the impending visit of the committee for institutional accreditation, emphasizing the importance of everyone being readiness for the committee’s visit. This is done by looking at evaluation criteria that helps to achieve academic excellence according to the standards of international institutional accreditation. This is a fundamental goal of the university’s strategic plan. He also stressed the importance of communicating with students through academic counseling and working to resolve the difficulties and problems that they may face as they are the focus of the educational process.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Al Baili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, addressed the administrators by saying, “We trust you to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the university. In this new academic year we will work together to prepare and develop a new strategic plan for 2017-2021, to achieve our objectives”. Dr. Al Baili also welcomed the new Deans and wished everyone success in supporting the university’s educational path.
