Undergraduate Admissions

The United Arab Emirates University classifies applicants into three main categories, based on the year the Grade 12 certificate (or its equivalent) was obtained, as follows:

First Category - Priority 1 (P1): Current-year Secondary School Students 

• Includes students who obtained their Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent and submitted an admission application during one of the two semesters of the academic year immediately following their graduation, and they are:
  • UAE Nationals and children of UAE National mothers.
  • Students who have completed National Service, provided they join the university within two semesters after completing their service.
  • Children of UAEU faculty and staff, subject to meeting the conditions of the university’s scholarship program (Admission criteria to be announced soon).
  • International students (Admission criteria, scholarships, and tuition fees to be announced soon).
• Students in the P1 category are granted priority in admission and scholarships for the Fall and Spring semesters of the same academi

Second Priority 2 (P2) & Third Priority 3 (P3) Categories: Non-Current Secondary School Students 

• Include students who obtained their Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent and submitted an admission application after the first academic year following their graduation.
• Admission for the P2 and P3 categories is subject to review on a case-by-case basis by relevant academic committees and depends on seat availability and institutional capacity.
• Admission consideration is primarily for the Spring semester.
• Students in the P2 and P3 categories are not granted admission priority, and all applicable tuition fees are charged in accordance with the university’s approved financial policies. (Admission criteria and tuition fees will be announced soon.)

Important Dates

Applicants must submit their applications during the application period announced on the university’s website as follows:

First Academic Semester: May, June and July.

Second Academic Semester: September, October and November.
