UAEU holds various training courses for prospective graduating students

To enhance the concept of professional happiness

The Professional Development Unit of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) organized a number of training courses on job skills for students soon to graduate. This involved preparation for resumes, interviews, and professional communication skills.

Dr. Mohamad bou Alhamam, Assistant Dean for Professional Development at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, stressed that the College provides training not only for graduating students but for all students, although the focus is on students who are about to graduate. The aim is to develop students’ skills before they enter the labor market.

In the same framework, the College of Education held a workshop entitled "Positive energy for practical education,” one of a series of workshops offered by the College to female students embarking on vocational training in schools. This was presented by Dr. Khalifah Al Suwaidi, Assistant Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department, in an effort to enhance professional practice in the field of teaching and scientific research.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suweidi gave a presentation to the students on developing the concept of happiness in working life, devising ways to improve self-performance, and how this impacts positively on the work environment.

The above series of workshops comes in line with the stated objectives of UAEU, in preparing graduates as future leaders in their chosen areas, and ensuring their contribution to the development to the country.
