The College of Science at the United Arab Emirates University organized two workshops on, “Making a job compatible with life choices’ and ‘Work ethics’ organized on Wednesday 2nd of March 2016 in the theatre of the College of Information Technology. Dr. Ahmed Murad, Dean of the College of Science, department heads, faculty and students were all present.
Dr. Murad said that, “the College attaches great importance to preparing students for their careers through teaching the skills that help to secure appropriate jobs. These workshops help students to determine their choices for the future.”
The first workshop dealt with methods for choosing a career best suited to the students. Through measurement tools and physiological assessments one can measure the natural strengths and knowledge of the student.
The second workshop highlighted work ethics and the need to follow rules within an institution. It sought to educate students about different working conditions and how to handle them.
These workshops come out of the role of the university to prepare students for the job market and to prepare graduates to be leaders who focus on continuous learning.
