With broad participation from institutions of the State

Student Affairs and Enrollment Sector at UAE University opened on Sunday 6^th of November 2016, in the Great Hall of the Crescent building in Al Ain City, the 6^th Exhibition of Health, Nutrition & Fitness 2016", which lasts for 4 days, in the presence of Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment, a number of faculty members, and staff and students of the University, with the participation of a number of higher education institutions and health centers in the State.

Dr. Ali Al Kaabi stressed that this exhibition comes from the keenness of UAE University in participation in national initiatives, which in turn seeks to promote cultural awareness and physical health in the University community, noting that the exhibition in his 6^th session has seen a lot of interaction from health institutions and various authorities in the State, to provide an opportunity for students to learn about the latest health care methods, in addition to displaying student experiments and projects, and to keep the visitors up on the latest developments in this area.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition highlights multiple topics, such as; participating in the initiative of the National Committee to reduce consumption of saturated fat and trans fat and the risk of consumption of industrially transformed, and display the latest fitness and sports equipment that help to increase the level of efficiency and fitness, in addition to providing an opportunity for students to make smart applications for health and fitness programs, and offer tests in different areas, and a blood donation campaign.

The exhibition held various lectures to students over the four days, such as "How reading contributes to mental health" lecture. Also specialized workshops and courses were organized, such as a "First aid" course, and "Your beauty in your food" workshop, by Dr. Maitha Alltoili Director of community nutrition in Tawam Hospital, as well as fitness, nutrition and healthy cooking classes.
