Emirati Women’s Day

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UAEU, stressed the important social position of Emirati women on Emirati Women’s Day, a celebration of the female role in national life fully supported by the nation’s leaders. This leadership believes in the role played by Emirati women both locally and internationally. Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, ‘the Mother of the Nation’, Chair of the General Women’s Union (GDW), Supreme Chair of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, also continues to encourage Emirati women to work side by side with men in the ongoing development of UAE.
Dr. Al Nuaimi was quoted as saying that, “Emirati women are ambitious and have achieved many things. Part of their Emirati identity values generosity, diligence and sacrifice. This has allowed women to hold senior positions in a variety of vital fields in the UAE. Such Emirati women have demonstrated their ability to be leaders and to serve the nation.”
He further stressed that the celebration of Emirati Women's Day is a recognition of the effort and achievements of Emirati women at every level of various areas of endeavor. Emirati woman, with their knowledge, diligence and innovative spirit represent a fine example of the UAE at many international forums.
Finally. Dr. Al Nuaimi added that, “Emirati women, with their expertise, skills and scientific knowledge can build a brighter future and contribute to the process of sustainable development. I look forward to seeing Emirati women at the nation’s forefront every year.”
