University Council Member from California State University, Chico Meets UAEU Students

Prof. Paul Zingg, President Emeritus of California State University, Chico and a member of the University Council at UAEU, took time to meet with students on campus after the recent University Council meeting. He visited laboratories of the Biology Department, College of Science, and talked to a number of undergraduates about their engagement in research projects, conferences, publications, public outreach, and other activities. He met with a team involved in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience Program SURE+, and discussed their work on the impact of climate change in hot regions. As a founding signatory of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, Prof.
Zingg recognizes the key role that universities and their students can play in issues related to climate change and environmental stewardship.
