UAEU launches Spring Boot Camp activities for school students

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) launched on Monday 2nd April 2018 the activities of the ‘Spring Boot Camp’ with the aim of enhancing school students’ scientific and technical skills and discover their talents in IT, application programming, communication systems and networks.

The camp offers students the opportunities to learn in a fun way through exchanging knowledge and conduct joint projects to develop techniques in Android applications. The camp is one of the innovative scientific initiatives by the UAEU to contribute to serving the society and enriching students’ knowledge.

It is the first IT educational camp in Al Ain. Students participating in the three-day workshops offered at the camp which is free are between 8-16 years old. Enrollees will be able to develop android applications and to learn how to use 3-D printing techniques and laser cutting in a scientific and stimulating way. This camp came following the establishment of the Innovation Hub, powered by Google, in the UAEU Science and Innovation Park.
