UAEU signs a collaboration agreement with the University of California, Berkeley

During his visit to California to attend the Conference of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), H.E. Professor Mohamed Albaili, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), visited the University of California, Berkeley, where he signed a Collaboration Agreement with the University of California, Berkeley.
The agreement aims to enhance joint work between the two universities and establish a strategic partnership through exchanging faculty and students and conducting joint research in the fields of Science and Engineering.
Professor Albaili stressed the importance of such partnerships with international institutions, which facilitate developing innovations and conducting significant research that benefit the development process of UAEU and the country at large. UAEU is always keen on strengthening its relationships with its partners at the local and regional levels as they play a vital role in offering youth the opportunity to exchange expertise and utilize it in serving the society.
H.E. Professor Albaili visited the College of Chemistry and inspected Nanotechnology laboratories, where new substances are produced using Nanotechnology. He also discussed a proposal of establishing UAEU innovation center for nanotechnology to conduct joint nanotechnology research. Professor Albaili discussed holding a joint scientific conference at UAEU, where chemists can participate from across the globe.
