From 1 to 4 September 2019 and Within the framework of improving the quality of continuing university education, The Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) at the UAEU held a number of workshops and numerous training programs, in the presence of 42 new faculty members from diverse Colleges, scientific, academic and research fields.
For his part, Prof. Hassan Selim, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL), pointed out that these workshops aim at promoting the educational process with the newest scientific systems and methods followed in accordance with international standards for the quality of university education and research outcomes through the Center's team and the library which covers many subjects related to co-education, professional development of faculty members, highlights on numerous aspects of UAE culture, as well as scholarship programs, teaching assessment programs, assessment of learning outcomes, as well as a virtual learning environment; E-books, library services and practical examples of global best practices in teaching methods, and learning.
A number of UAEU Lecturers have delivered workshops related to the professional development of faculty members, which included many presentations, statistical data and scientific tools that develop the skills of faculty members in teaching, learning and dealing with scientific programs and materials provided to students to achieve effective communication among students and Instructors, the up-to-date world-class materials, and showcased best practices and innovative teaching methods, which involved videos provided by the Center on its YouTube channel, in order to demonstrate the resources available for the newest practices in education the Virtual Learning Environment aims to highlight the features that make the UAEU virtual learning environment attractive , interactive , and achieve Co-teaching so as to support independent-learning and innovation in learning and scientific research.
