Bibliotherapy: Reading OVID During COVID
Mon, 6 June 2022
Linda Östlundh, Director, National Medical Library at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAEU has co-authored an article on bibliotherapy in the time of pandemic.
Bibliotherapy is a form of clinical or self-developing therapy where reading and discussing different types of literature can help individuals to verbalize and find solutions for negative feelings and emotions. It involves both librarians and physicians/therapists and some of the main and pioneer researchers in the field are librarians.
The paper is a collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry at CMHS, led by Prof. Emmanuel Stip.
