Breast Cancer awareness event by Biology department

Let s raise Breast Cancer awareness together!

October is declared as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the awareness of UAEU students and community about breast cancer, Biology department students organized an event on October 25-26, 2021.

This two-day event comprised scientific talks and other activities. Information brochures and badges were distributed to spread awareness about breast cancer and to empathize the importance of self-examination. The students/ faculty members were encouraged to spread this information to public and families. This event featured two talks regarding breast cancer awareness. Dr. Shamsa Alawar (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, CMHS, UAEU) and Dr. Khalid Muhammad (Biology, UAEU) discussed various factors involved in breast cancer, identification as well as current therapeutic approaches to treat the disease. This event got loads of positive feedback and achieved the main goal of spreading awareness
