BIOGRAPHY
Aktham AlMaghaireh is a Professor of Finance at United Arab Emirates University. He holds a PhD and MSc in Finance and Banking from Durham University, UK, as well as an MSc and BA in Economics from Yarmouk University, Jordan. His research interests include emerging financial markets, risk management, corporate finance, bank efficiency and distress, capital market microstructure, and Islamic finance. His recent work has appeared in leading academic journals such as Energy, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Abacus, Energy Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis, Emerging Markets Review, Journal of Commodity Markets, Finance Research Letters, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Empirical Economics, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance.
