BIOGRAPHY
Dr Mayada is the Chair of the Accounting Department. She has earned her PhD from The University of Manchester, UK in 2005. Throughout her career, she held various academic positions in UAE, UK, and Egypt. In 2008, she joined CBE, UAEU.
Dr Mayada is a member of the AACSB Accounting Accreditation Committee (AAC), USA (2022-present). She taught many UG and PG courses in management accounting and accounting information systems. At UAEU, she was awarded the College Best Performance Award for Excellence in Teaching for the 2022-2023 academic year as well as the College Best Performance Award for Excellence in Service for the 2019-2020 academic year.
Dr Mayada has published in reputable international journals such as Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management, Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, and, Asian Review of Accounting. She received FBE Dean's Research Seed Grant in 2011, SURE Grant in 2017, and UPAR Grant in 2019.
Mayada is an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Disruptive Innovation in Government, International Journal of Business Systems Research (UK), Journal of Accounting & Marketing (USA) and an ad hoc reviewer for many international journals and conferences in accounting field.
