of Education, UAE, and all the undergraduate programs of the College are accredited
by international accreditation organizations, where the B.Sc. in Chemistry has been
accredited by both the Canadian Society for Chemistry in 2008 and by the Royal Society
of Chemistry, the UK in 2011. The B.Sc. in Biology has been accredited by the Royal
Society of Biology, UK in 2019, and the B.Sc. in Physics has been accredited by ABET-ANSAC,

will come soon.
The College is implementing the use of modern technologies in both teaching and learning
through smart classrooms and online technologies. The pandemic of COVID19 has accelerated
the process of online teaching, where different programs adjusted to the new circumstances
and have used the available technology to deliver different courses online, and a
few more courses have been developed for a hybrid mode of teaching. The College labs
are equipped with state-of-the-art experimental setups and computer simulations to
make sure that our students go through an experiential nature of laboratory-based
coursework and field practical experience. Furthermore, our students are required
to spend the end of the program 2 months of internship to prepare them for the job
market.
One of the main strengths of the College of Science is its faculty members who come
from different backgrounds with excellent education from well-known international
universities and with high caliber research credentials. Besides their high-quality
teaching, they engage in cutting-edge research and involve their graduate and undergraduate
students in their research projects. The research labs of the College are equipped
with state-of-the-art research instruments. Some of these laboratories are the Nano-Physics
Research Laboratory, Genomic Analysis and Microbial Studies Laboratory, Central Analytical
Laboratory, Inorganic Geochemistry Laboratory, Geophysics, and Seismic Laboratory,
and the Museum of Living Resources and Geological Museum.
The College of Science has an extensive web of national and international collaborations,
such as the membership of CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, and the research collaboration
with the University of California Berkeley. These collaborations open up opportunities
for our faculty and students to work on exciting scientific projects. Locally, the
College collaborates with many institutions, such as the Ministry of Education, to
serve the country and actively participate in graduating future scientists and leaders
to effectively build a knowledge-based economy.

graduated from the world’s best universities and who are eager to accompany you in
your journey into building solid foundation in the basics of the field of science
you would like to pursue, whether it is biological sciences, bio-chemistry, chemistry,
geosciences, mathematics, physics or space science, in world-class programs that are
accredited locally and internationally by well-known organizations and societies,
such as the Royal Society of Biology, of Chemistry, Canadian Society of Chemistry,
and the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology-Applied and Natural Science
Accreditation Commission (ABET-ANSAC).
In the College of Science, students are expected to be involved in original research,
whether through their graduation projects, thesis work or by joining a research program
of one of the faculty, where you will have the chance to use state-of-the-art equipment
in the science research labs.
At the College of Science, we are dedicated to the career development of our students.
We nurture and encourage them to become confident graduates with professional skills
and qualities, and enthusiasm for their chosen careers.
Whatever the field of science our students pursue, we challenge them to broaden their
horizons and help them to develop the capacity for independent thinking and a lifelong
interest in learning, which are the hallmarks of successful leaders.
In partnership with the industry and government entities, we prepare our students
for success and leadership in the highly competitive and rapidly changing global marketplace
and contribute to the development of society by graduating a high-quality technical
workforce.
