BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Rakesh Rajagopalan is currently working as an Instructor in the Department of Chemistry, United Arab Emirates University, UAE. He is actively involved in the research and teaching activities at the UAEU.
Dr. Rakesh Rajagopalan completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Calicut in 2004, and received his master’s degree in Inorganic chemistry with a Third Rank from the School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. Dr. Rakesh obtained his PhD Degree in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Regina, Canada in 2014. He is specialized in the synthesis and reactivity study of highly sensitive (reactive) species such as carbenes and phosphinidenes. Dr. Rakesh has more than 12 years of active teaching experience in a range of environments in Canada and India, and published research papers in international journals and conferences. Dr. Rakesh was appointed five times as a visiting instructor in the Northern Canadian Teachers Education Program (NORTEP) and provided special teaching services to the Native American Students. He was also one of the Judges & Special award coordinators for the Canada Wide Science Fair, Organized at the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 2017.
