BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Maatouk Khoukhi has received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Tohoku University (Japan) in 2004. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in Architectural Engineering Department at United Arab Emirates University. Dr. Maatouk held several permanent and visiting faculty appointments at Tohoku University (Japan), King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KSA), Sultan Qaboos University (Oman), Building Research Centre (CSTB, France), University of Sydney and New South Wales University. He is specialized in the broad area of Building Engineering Systems, Building Sciences, Solar Energy, and Environmental Sustainability. His research work has been supported by several grants from Samsung, NEDO, and universities’ internal and external grants. The total budget of his projects exceeds 3.5 Million USD. Dr. Maatouk has published more than 80 journal and conference papers and he is a reviewer for several journals in his field of specialization.
