The College of Business and Economics at UAEU Holds the Alumni Gala 2026

The College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University hosted the Alumni Gala 2026 at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. The gala witnessed strong participation from the college’s alumni representing various specializations and academic programs, alongside academic leaders and faculty members, reflecting the college’s commitment to maintaining active engagement with its alumni and fostering a sustainable academic and professional network.

Prof. Mohamed Madi, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, delivered a speech in which he emphasized that “the college continues its role in preparing national cadres capable of leading the future of business through a focus on governance, digital transformation, sustainability, and succession planning concepts, in alignment with the UAE’s vision, ‘We the UAE 2031.’”

He concluded by reaffirming that the success of leading institutions lies in strong human connections and continuous communication among their members, expressing his pride in the alumni and their role in shaping the national economy and advancing sustainable development.

The gala aimed to strengthen connections between alumni and current students, facilitate the exchange of expertise and professional experiences, and support academic and career development, while reinforcing the role of alumni as key stakeholders in both the college and the university’s journey.

The event featured a panel discussion moderated by alumni, focusing on three main themes. The first session, titled “From Classrooms to Leadership,” explored how the educational environment at UAEU contributed to shaping alumni’s personal and professional skills. The second session, “Future Labor Market Challenges and Opportunities,” discussed the flexible and technical skills required to keep pace with evolving economic trends. The final session, “Giving Back and Transferring Knowledge,” highlighted mechanisms for activating alumni engagement in mentoring current students and providing training and empowerment opportunities.

The event also included networking activities between students and alumni to strengthen professional relationships, in addition to honoring graduates of the Doctor of Business Administration Program. The gala concluded with a dinner reception and the recognition of competition winners and participants in accompanying activities.

Hosting this gala comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to strengthen communication with its alumni and benefit from their professional expertise, while supporting a dynamic academic environment that contributes to preparing national cadres capable of leading the future and meeting labor market needs.
