Faculty members in the UAEU are holders of doctorate degrees from accredited institutions. The faculty academic titles are Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The total number of faculty members in the University during the Spring 2025 academic term was 645.
The University also has support-teaching staff. Instructors are Master’s Degree holders and Research Assistants hold Bachelor Degrees. The latter must have shown appropriate academic achievements during their studies as reflected in their graduation grade point average (GPA).
National teaching assistants are the potential future faculty members at the University. These assistants must have shown scholarly potential during their undergraduate education. The University will then sponsor their graduate education. There were 44 national teaching assistants, during the Spring 2025 academic term.

Various audit and accreditation bodies require our student numbers to be presented in various different ways using a range of definitions. The following data are total student head counts for each College, and include students in the foundation program who have not yet progressed to their chosen degree program. Further breakdowns of numbers based on specific definitions are available on request from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (Effectiveness.Office@uaeu.ac.ae). There were 17,722 students registered at the University during the Spring 2025 academic term, of these 16,240 were undergraduate students. Enrolled male students represented 29%, while female students represented 71% of the entire student population. The distribution of the enrolled students across the various Colleges is presented in the following table.
