• The United Arab Emirates University participated in Expo 2020 Dubai with an independent pavilion situated in the Mobility District.
• As a representative of UAE in International Space Cooperation Organization, the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) of the UAEU is a member of the International Committee on Space Research (COSPAR).
• The National Space Science and Technology Center was developed in cooperation between UAEU, the UAE Space Agency, and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
• The NWEC of UAEU has collaborations with international institutions such as Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait; Sultan Qaboos University, Oman; National Oil and Gas Authority, Bahrain; Texas A & M University, USA; Exeter University, UK; Martin Luther University, Halle/Saale, Germany; National Research Centre (NRC), Denmark; National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), USA
• UAEU Pavilion at Expo2020 Dubai hosted a training workshop on online learning presented by the University Consortium for Quality Online Learning(UCQOL) international experts, which was attended by a number of faculty members from different Universities
• The United Arab Emirates University is supporting the clinical trial of the innovative COVID-19 vaccine created by the Gamaleya Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Russia. This human adenoviral vector-based vaccine is the first of its kind to receive global approval.
• The Milan-based Arexpo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the United Arab Emirates University’s Science and Innovation Park (UAEU SIP) in Abu DhabI. The MOU lays the collaborative framework for providing visibility and reciprocal access to innovative start-ups and businesses, including participation in acceleration programmes and investment plans. The two parties will present shared projects to attract investment (for the Horizon Europe programme in particular), and periodic meetings will be organized to discuss projects, in addition to the creation of a joint Arexpo-UAEUSIP committee to implement and monitor initiatives arising from the collaboration between the Milano Innovation District (MIND) project and the Science and Innovation Park.
• College of Law at UAEU in cooperation with McGill Institute of Air and Space Law at McGill University, Canada, organized International Annual Conference on the Legal Aspects of the Usages of Outer Space: Opportunities & Challenges
• College of Law in collaboration with Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP, UK, held a lecture titled ‘Companies Acquisition in UAE’ delivered by Christine Khoury, a Legal Advisor and a Senior Associate in Eversheds' Sutherland (International) in Dubai.
• UAEU in cooperation with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO), Abu Dhabi announced the launch of a joint multidisciplinary academic research study to examine the factors that determine health-related quality of life in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
