Admission Requirements

English Bridging Course

• The English Bridging Course is designed for students conditionally admitted to the university because they did not achieve the required English language scores for direct admission, specifically:
  • Those with a score of (5) on the Academic IELTS test.
  • Or those with a score of (500) on the TOEFL-ITB English test.
  • Or those with a score of (61) on the TOEFL-iBT English test.
  • Or those with a score of (173) on the TOEFL-CBT English test.
  • Or those with a score of (1100) on the English EmSAT.
  • Or equivalent.
• Conditionally admitted students must achieve the score required for direct admission, which is: (5.5) on the Academic IELTS, (525) on the TOEFL-ITB, (70) on the TOEFL-iBT, (194) on the TOEFL-CBT, or (1250) on the English EmSAT, or equivalent. Alternatively, they must pass the offered bridging course within a period not exceeding one academic semester.
• If conditionally admitted students fail to achieve the required score for direct admission or pass the English Bridging Course within a period not exceeding one academic semester, their conditional admission will be cancelled.
• Conditionally admitted students are allowed to register for general university education courses with a maximum of (6) credit hours per semester.

Mathematics Bridging Courses

• These courses target students who are provisionally admitted to the university's colleges.
• Provisional admission to the Colleges of (Engineering, Information Technology, Science, and Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, excluding the Veterinary Medicine program) is available to students who have achieved a score of (600) on the Mathematics EmSAT or its equivalent.
• Provisional admission to the College of (Business and Economics) is available to students who have achieved a score of (500) on the Mathematics EmSAT.
• The bridging course is also available for students wishing to enroll in the College of Law who did not achieve a score of (600) on the Mathematics EmSAT or its equivalent.
• Students who do not meet the required Mathematics score for direct admission are granted provisional admission, on the condition that they achieve the required score for direct admission or pass the bridging course within a period not exceeding two semesters. Otherwise, they will be transferred to other colleges that suit their academic qualifications.
• Provisionally admitted students are allowed to register for courses with a maximum total of (12) credit hours per semester.
