BIOGRAPHY
I am an Assistant Professor of Psychology at UAE University and have held the position of Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Leicester, UK, since 2021. Prior to this, I worked at Zayed University, starting as a researcher in 2017 and later becoming an Assistant Professor from 2021 to 2023.
My research focuses on psycholinguistics, with a specific interest in understanding the cognitive processes involved in reading Arabic using measures of eye movements. My interdisciplinary background spans cognitive, neuroscience, social, clinical, and educational psychology, resulting in numerous publications and active participation in national and international conferences. Notable conference venues include the Psychonomics Society meeting, the European Conference on Eye Movements, Emirates Society Mental Health International Congress, and meetings of the Experimental Psychology Society.
Beyond my research contributions, I actively engage in psychology-related initiatives and organizations. I serve on various committees and maintain memberships in scientific societies, including the Arab Youth Research Council in the UAE, the Vision and Language Research Group at the University of Leicester in the UK, and the Experimental Psychology Society (EPS).
