BIOGRAPHY
David graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. After initial training in general surgery in Leeds and Newcastle Upon-Tyne, United Kingdom, he had higher specialist training in emergency medicine in the South West of England.
He was a consultant in emergency medicine for 15 years at the University Hospitals Plymouth, United Kingdom, before relocating to the United Arab Emirates in 2018.
He was a Clinical Tutor for Faculty development, Peninsular Post-graduate Deanery and Academic Tutor Plymouth University Peninsular School of Medicine and Dentistry UK.
David is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine UK. He is also a member of non-profit organizations such as the Centre for Medical Informatics and Professional Development (CMIPD) UK through which he provides annual educational and skills training at various hospitals in Nigeria.
His research interests are trauma systems development and resuscitation medicine. He has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
