Subject of the Consultation:
Measuring the role of volunteering in a student's life and the extent of its impact.
Objective:
Through this consultation, we measure the extent of the impact of student initiatives
and volunteerism and their efforts to participate in activities that support society
at the social, cultural, and economic aspects. This includes individuals' efforts
or participation in group activities affiliated with university colleges or student
teams, both on campus or external activities to qualify local talents.
Results:
The results showed significant interaction from volunteer students in COP28, with 14 volunteers out of 19 participants participated in responding to the questionnaire. The final results revealed that all students preferred morning periods to participate in volunteering by 100%. Moreover, the majority of volunteers showed satisfaction with their experience with 57% rating it as (excellent and good) while 53% of students described their experience as (good to some extent).
Recommendations:
- Highlighting the importance of a culture of volunteerisms should focus on emphasizing its positive impact on individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
- Facilitating volunteering opportunities across university fields to offer students exposure and experience in a broad spectrum of areas.
