Brief Description:
What is ABA or Applied Behavior Analysis? What are the applications of ABA? Who uses ABA?
In this seminar, the presenter will give a short introduction on the science of ABA and how it can be applied in learning a new skill, teaching a new skill, reducing or stopping unwanted behaviors, and increasing desirable behaviors. ABA is a science. It relies on direct observation of behavior. Based on data, behavior analysts write behavioral intervention plans, continuously collect data to decide whether to continue with the specific intervention, stop it or amend it. Some people believe that ABA is used only to improve the life outcomes of individuals with autism. This is far from the truth; ABA is about behavior.
With ABA, we can learn how to manage our stress.
With ABA, we can learn how to beat procrastination.
With ABA, we can change our behavior to protect our environment.
The list is endless…
