Workshop Description
The aim of this session is to give participants a hands-on experience on writing a full manuscript based on the use of LATEX. Unlike referencing packages, this workshop will cover the preparation process for manuscript from title to list of referencing, exactly as the journal/publisher requires. The session will introduce Overleaf as a platform to learn LATEX and write a whole manuscript. Step by step process of copying text from a word processing, inserting tables, graphs and referencing. Both in text and list of references will be covered to demonstrate ways to change from between the various referencing styles. Participants will also be introduced to the process of changing writing style to meet a different journal/publisher, in cases of manuscript rejections. Participants are encouraged to have access to a text from a paper they want to publish. By the end of the workshop, they will have a full paper formatted exactly to the requirements of the publisher/journal.
