Workshop Description
Zotero is a free software program for researchers, similar to Endnote. Zotero enables the one-click import of references from academic databases and websites such as Google Scholar. Zotero can then insert citations into references in a Microsoft Word document in a specific citation style, such as APA, Harvard, MLA and many others. Zotero is a must for researchers as it helps organize background reading, as well as store PDF’s, before you even start writing your thesis.
Learning objectives:
- Import references from academic databases and websites into Zotero
- Insert citations into a Microsoft Word document.
Resources
Bring your Windows or Mac laptop with Firefox (www.mozilla.org) and Zotero (www.zotero.org) installed before the workshop. If you need assistance with Zotero installation, please contact DoIT Help Desk (Email: Helpdesk@uaeu.ac.ae Tel: 03-7136111). Ensure your laptop is fully charged, as the room may not have convenient power sockets.
