A brief description: review the start of the art of the three buzzwords: big data, artificial intelligence
(AI), and computational media, followed by a more focused discussion on major applications
of computational media such as data journalism, news recommenders, and computational
advertising. In conclusion, I’ll suggest what and how students of media and communication
should learn to meet the demands of the media labor market in the 21st century.
