A brief description of the event:
The Department of Linguistics at the United Arab Emirates University is hosting the third meeting of the Experimental Arabic Linguistics Conference (EXAL) in Al Ain, UAE, on 28-29 October, 2018. As in the past meetings (held in UAEU in 2013 and NYU Abu Dhabi in 2016 (EXAL+)), the aim of the conference is to bring together scholars using experimental approaches to address long-standing or new theoretical issues pertaining to the study of language, focusing on Arabic and related (e.g. Semitic and Afro-Asiatic) languages.
