In collaboration with the World Bank Group, this lecture comes to raise awareness of the Global Sustainability Program 2030, and display the reality of sustainable development across the world through international statistics and measurement indicators adopted by the United Nations, and the challenges facing it, and the applications of sustainable development programs. Dr. Mohieldin highlights some successful and faltering experiences in achieving the goals and requirements of sustainable development in this session.
He stressed that the priorities and objectives of sustainable development agreed upon in accordance with international conventions have been subject to significant changes from 2015 to the present. International attention has emerged in achieving the goals of the new millennium, and how UAE become one of the first countries to contribute to, and implement sustainable development policies. And has promoted the concepts of human development and knowledge-based economy, and has made significant efforts in the development and investment of renewable energy, enhancing the quality of education, diversifying sources of income, using and developing technologies and information technologies that promote this global trend, and be at the forefront of successful countries to achieve the concept of sustainability through its policies and vision 2021,to maintain economic and social development and to preserve natural resources for future generations, according to the 2030 World Vision.
