As a research intensive university and flagship institution of the nation, UAEU continues to develop and
support concentrations of research activity, especially in areas of national and regional importance,
and to involve undergraduate and graduate students in advancing this research.
4th Cohort of DBA Students
The DBA program has accepted its fourth cohort of doctoral students. Of the 19 admitted students,
16 are UAE Nationals. All are senior level executives whom have previously earned their MBA or other
business related masters programs.
1st Cohort of PhD Students - College of Education
The College of Education enrolled its first cohort of PhD students.
UAEU Graduates 1st Batch of Doctors of Pharmacy
UAEU graduated its first batch of 12 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students from the College of
Medicine and Health Science (CMHS).
436 Students Graduate at the 32nd Convocation
Under the patronage of the UAE president, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan, His
Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler
of Dubai attended the 32nd male cohorts graduation ceremony of 436 students, of which 69 were
postgraduates students.
Also, for the first time ever the very first cohort (1980/1981) of UAEU were in attendance. This included
192 male and 50 female alumni, some of whom hold key leadership positions in the country such as
His Excellency Humaid Moh’d Al Qutami, Minister of Education and Her Excellency Mariam Al Roumi,
Minister of Social Affairs.
