United Arab Emirates University Welcomes More Than 4,000 New Students Through Its Orientation Program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
August 21, 2026The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has welcomed more than 4,000 newly enrolled students for the 2026–2027 academic year as part of a comprehensive orientation program designed to support them as they begin their academic journey. The program introduces students to the outstanding academic programs offered by the university’s colleges, as well as the various services, systems, and regulations available to support their university experience.
The orientation program commenced on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with the welcoming of new students residing in university housing. On Monday, August 17, the New Student Support Center was opened at the Sheikh Zayed Founders’ Hall to provide students with essential services in one convenient location and assist them in completing their academic and administrative procedures with ease. The center will continue to provide its services until August 27, 2026.
On August 17 and 18, the orientation program featured a variety of activities, interactive sessions, and entertainment programs, including sports competitions, Student Clubs Ambassadors activities, photography and painting sessions, and introductory sessions. These activities aim to support students’ transition into the university community and encourage them to engage in student activities and campus life.
The program is part of UAEU’s ongoing efforts to provide a supportive educational environment and empower new students by familiarizing them with the university’s systems and available services from the beginning of their academic journey. It also contributes to enhancing their readiness and facilitating their smooth transition and adaptation to campus life.
