The Master of Private Law program at the College of Law at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has received AQAS International Accreditation until March 31, 2032, in a significant step that reflects the development of the College’s graduate programs in line with global academic standards.

This accreditation underscores the College’s commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic offerings. It follows the Bachelor of Law program’s five-year accreditation from the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) in 2024, further strengthening the international recognition of its programs.

This milestone affirms the growing confidence in the quality of education provided by the College and highlights its commitment to developing an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with legal developments, supports research and innovation, and prepares graduates capable of competing in national, regional, and international markets.

Prof. Fatiha Gourari, Dean of the College of Law, commented that this international accreditation represents an important milestone in the College’s history and reflects the level of academic maturity achieved by its graduate programs. She noted that the College operates under a vision focused on delivering contemporary legal education aligned with rapid developments in policies and regulations, while meeting the needs of society and the labor market.

She added that the College continues to advance its academic programs and strengthen its international partnerships to promote the exchange of expertise and adopt global best practices. These efforts contribute to preparing qualified legal professionals capable of advancing the legal ecosystem at the national, regional, and global levels.

This accreditation also reflects the College’s direction toward expanding academic cooperation with international institutions and enhancing curricula in line with global standards. In parallel, the College is continuing procedures for the accreditation of additional graduate programs, including the Master of Private Law and the PhD in Law, with the same international body. These efforts aim to further strengthen the higher education system and open new opportunities for students and researchers to pursue their academic journeys within an internationally recognized institution.
