The finals of “Educational Court” in UAEU on Wednesday

The “College of Law” in UAEU is having the finale of the “Educational Court” Contest on Wednesday (5/3/2014), which was adopted by the College as one of the teaching and training methods within its teaching plan, especially after its participation in the international contests. A criminal case that handles a “murder felony” will be presented to the court, where two parties will plead the case. One party will represent the “Prosecution” and the other will represent the “Defense”, all pleadings will be conducted in the same way adopted in the real courts, with the presence of a jury who follows the performance of the two parties and take notes.
The court will be held in the “College of Information Technology” theater, from (10) am to (1) pm, and the staff members, students and interested people can attend and follow the court proceedings. The case papers and details were submitted to the parties earlier, and the students were trained with the help of the college professors, and the participating parties were prepared for pleadings. The contest includes male and female students, and is attended by the Dean of College of Law and professors of the College. It is supervised by Dr. “Fatiha Mohamed Gourari”, Chair, Department of Public Law. Dr. “Ala’a Mohyeddin Mustafa”, Assistant Professor in the Public Law Department trained the students, and the results will be announced at the end of the court to announce the winner of the first place, in addition to announcing the best defense and best claim.
