The 7^th Olympic Sports Tournament concluded on the evening of Tuesday 28^th April, 2015 with matches at the United Arab Emirates University’s sports grounds. The United Arab Emirates University team came second overall, seven points behind the winning Egyptian team.

Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment, highlighted the university's support for extra-curricular activities and the desire to spread a sporting culture throughout the university. This serves to address societal problems such as obesity.

Dr. Al Kaabi explained that the tournament was competitive with a friendly rivalry between the teams. He praised the level of the competition and the excellent team spirit on display. He also stressed the role of sport in discovering the students’ diverse physical talents.

Mr. Ibrahim Mukhtar, Director of the Sports and Recreational Activities Unit (male campus) stated that 21 different organizations: including 5 universities, 4 schools, 7 other institutions and 5 community clubs took part. He added that the good results achieved were the product of training and working on athletic skills.

Mr. Mukhtar thanked the participants and praised their efforts and interaction. He pointed out the good performances, hard work and commitment during the tournament and wished the students future success. He also looked forward to even more competitive tournaments in the future.

Dr. Al Kaabi distributed medals and trophies to the winners of the football, tennis, table- tennis, swimming, and volleyball competitions.
