The College of Information Technology at UAEU holds its first advisory board meeting

The College of Information Technology at UAEU

The College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University held its first advisory board meeting on Tuesday, October 13^th, 2015. It was chaired by Professor Omar El Gayer, Dean of the college, in the College building on the main Al Ain campus.

The meeting stressed the importance of the advisory board in promoting communication between the college and other stakeholders in order to receive opinions and proposals that can help to guide college planning and development. This part of an effort to meet academic and institutional accreditation standards.

The meeting also discussed the college’s mission and vision; the need to create a culture of ambition and achievement and to promote programs that are suitable for a knowledge-based economy infused with the spiritof innovation. The university has a role in disseminating knowledge and skills to the community in line with the aspirations of the UAE’s leadership.
