The United Arab Emirates University holds an induction for new Ph,D students

The Research and Graduate Studies Department at the United Arab Emirates University organized an induction for the new Ph.D students on Tuesday, October 20^th, 2015. It was held in the presence of Professor Ghaleb Al Hadrami, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies; Professor Nagi Wakim, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, professors and postgraduate students.

Professor Al Hadrami emphasized the role played by postgraduate students in conducting scientific research at UAEU, and, as such, supporting the UAE by accelerating development and meeting the needs local society in various fields.

Professor Nagi Wakim welcomed the increased number of new Ph.D students. This increase reflects the success of the various programs offered by the university to meet the interests and needs of students. UAEU offers more than 40 postgraduate programs in various professional and academic disciplines.

Professor Sherif M. Karam, Professor of Anatomy at the university, described his experience of counseling students. Dr. Yosra Saadi, the first Ph.D graduate from UAEU, discussed her experience of studying at the university. Professors of graduate studies courses also suggested tips and presented ideas to the new Ph.D students that will help them during their studies. The students were also briefed on resources and where to find help and support.
