The United Arab Emirates University organizes a Learning-based Project

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the United Arab Emirates University, organized a workshop on teaching and evaluating students using a ‘Learning-based Project’ approach, on Thursday, October 29^th, 2015, in the College of Information Technology. There were 40 faculty present as part of several weekly workshops to upgrade their skills to ensure that administrative and educational provision is of the highest quality of efficiency and transparency.

The workshop discussed learning-based projects which are a dynamic approach to the classroom. The student can actively explore problems and challenges in the real world and gain deeper knowledge. It also contributes to the support of educational expertise in terms of the methods and means of learning. It also enables students to come up with innovative project ideas. The workshop discussed how to use electronic projects and tools and how to evaluate these projects. Finally, real examples of student work were presented.
