The United Arab Emirates University holds the 2nd UAE Graduate Student Research Conference

To encourage leadership and excellence in research:
The Research and Graduate Studies Department at the United Arab Emirates University held the 2nd UAE Graduate Student Research Conference, on Wednesday, April 27th, 2016, in Al Ain. His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, and Professor Ghaleb Al Hadrami, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, various deans, faculty and students from public and private universities were all in attendance.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi in his opening speech stressed that this conference is part of the university’s desire to promote leadership and excellence in higher education and scientific research at both regional and global levels. He noted that the university has undergone fundamental changes in many areas in order to meet international standards and join the ranks of the world’s major universities. All of which provides students with the opportunity to excel and succeed in the future.
He pointed out the role of the university in supporting and creating innovative research solutions in strategically important areas. Most especially in the field of scientific research in order to contribute to the development of the UAE and other countries.
The conference lasted for two days. The first day included a keynote speech by Dr. Alexandra Bush of the University of Oxford, England, in which she discussed the industrial innovations in the 21st century. There were also a variety of lectures about different aspects of scientific research.
