UAEU signs MOU with Abu Dhabi Police

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) signed a memorandum of understand (MOU) with Abu Dhabi Police GHQ in the field of training and studies related to the Forensic Geology Science.  The signing was held at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, in the presence of Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, and Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University.  The agreement was signed by Major General Maktoum Al Sharifi, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, on behalf of Abu Dhabi Police, and by Prof. Mohamed Albaili, Vice Chancellor of the University, on behalf of the United Arab Emirates University.

Dr. Ali Al Noaimi stressed the role of the United Arab Emirates University in the progress and prosperity of the State.  He spoke of its constant quest to develop the capacity of scientific research and innovation in the fields of national and regional importance through fostering partnerships with various community institutions.  Doing so enhances its leading role in contributing effectively to developing innovative solutions to the challenges facing society.  This is reflected in the number of memorandums of understanding and agreements with various institutions within the State.

For his part, Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithi pointed out that modern science and scientific methods is a key element in promoting the prevention of crime.  He noted that the memorandum of understanding with the United Arab Emirates University serves this purpose in terms of identifying crime scenes by using geophysical and geological scientific methods adapted for use in the field of criminal investigation.

Al Romaithi noted that cooperation with the United Arab Emirates University offers mutual benefits. By taking advantage of the possibilities available for both parties in business development, training, and consulting, in a manner that embodies the vision of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, it strengthens its relationship with its strategic partners, and improves its level of performance in line with the Abu Dhabi Strategic Plan 2030.
