The College of Food And Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University held the second meeting of its advisory board on Tuesday 23^th of February 2015 on the UAEU campus. Professor Mohamed Al Baili, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Rashid Mohammed Al Shariqi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director General of Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium, other members of the Advisory Board and the heads of college departments were all in attendance.

The meeting discussed a number of issues. This included the promotion of scientific research programs, new specialties and international standards for academic and institutional accreditation.

The board stressed the role of the university in promoting research and driving forward the pursuit of leadership, excellence and community service. The board also discussed scholarship programs and developing new academic and research programs to provide qualifications and training to prepare students for the labor market in the food and agriculture sector.

The meeting finalized issues raised at the first meeting and is part of the university's goal of supporting leadership and excellence in higher education at regional and international levels.
