The United Arab Emirates University organizes a lecture introducing the work of the foundation

The United Arab Emirates University hosted a lecture introducing the work of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children on Tuesday, February 2nd 2016. The lecture was organized by the Student Counseling Center at UAEU and was attended by female students and university staff.
This lecture is part of UAEU’s social responsibility to support of the national community and its developmental issues. This lecture introduced the community work of the foundation. Ms. Nijmeh Mubarak from the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children presented a brief overview of the foundation’s work which includes providing accommodation, social and psychological care for women and children in order to empower and strengthen the family unit. They also promote awareness of abuse against women and children through educational programs.
She added that the foundation is concerned with domestic violence and child abuse and also deals with human trafficking. She explained the admission policies for the various groups hosted by the foundation and how to contact then for help.
The Student Counseling Centre at UAEU organizes educational and awareness lectures to raise community awareness and to help people achieve their psychological, social and academic goals.
