The United Arab Emirates University organizes the Times Higher Education MENA Universities Summit

Featuring international participation:

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, the United Arab Emirates University will organize ‘The Times Higher Education MENA Universities Summit” from 2nd to 4th February, 2016. This summit will feature international participation from the heads of many universities, researchers and others, and will be held in Al Ain. This is part of UAEU’s  vision of university becoming a leader in higher education and research at regional and global levels. The summit is an annual one and coincides with the Young Universities Summit, BRICS and Emerging Economies Summit as well as other important events.

His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, stressed that the summit will have the latest data, information and finding in terms of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can help the university to strengthen its performance in terms of its strategic vision and in identifying key standards and indicators that are based on accurate, factual data. Such information allows for the global ranking of universities. This summit is an opportunity for dialogue on university rankings and also creates an environment for educational exchange which can help to strengthen universities as they seek to improve their rankings and performance.

The summit will set new rankings for universities in the Middle East and North Africa.
