A United Arab Emirates University workshop on a ‘Judicial Social Approach to Violence against Children’

The President of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work in the USA presents:
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University organized a training workshop on a ‘Judicial Social Approach to Violence against Children’ on Sunday 20th of March 2016in the crescent building theater. It was presented by Dr. Viola Vaughan Eden, the President of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work in the USA. Dr. Saif Al Qaydi, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and a number of faculty and students were in attendance.
Dr. Al Qaidi welcomed Dr. Vaughan saying that, “these lectures enrich the students and serve the community”. Dr. Vaughan presented several examples of international organizations dealing with cases of violence against children. In addition she described a career in social work and the efforts to link judicial institutions and social institutions in order to protect the rights of children to be secure from violence.
Dr. Al Qaydi thanked Dr. Viola Vaughan for her presentation. This workshop helps to make students aware of the latest global systems and to link academics to practical reality.
