Enhancing the Role of the University in Creating Young Leaders
The Career Planning Services Center of the Center for Career Placement and Alumni, in cooperation with the College of Law and the College of Information Technology at United Arab Emirates University organized a lecture entitled "How to become a successful leader at work?" and a series of professional readiness workshops over three days in the CIT.
Ms. Abeer Alsheaibi, a counselor at the Career Planning Services Center said that the main aim of the occupational readiness workshops is to offer practical training for graduating students, to prepare them for the labor market and help them develop their professional skills. Ms. Alsheaibi stated that such workshops will continue during the semester and will vary depending on the skills and other areas needed by university students.
In the same context, the College of Law and the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with the Career Planning Services Center, organized a workshop entitled "How to write a résumé and how to prepare and answer the toughest 10 questions in a job interview?" This is aimed at preparing students to enter work experience, by helping them to write an effective résumé and develop their job interview skills.
This series of training workshops was created to achieve the strategic objectives of UAEU to prepare graduates who are leaders in their specialties. This will enrich the Emirati labor market in the future and enable graduates to find contentment and happiness in their careers and their lives.
