Outdoor activities event introduces clubs to UAEU students

The UAEU Student Activities Department held an outdoor activity event on the Women’s Campus to introduce different activities, societies and clubs to students on February 6 in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Dr Ali Al Kaabi, and Student Activities Department Director Professor Moza Al Ketbi.

Professor Al Ketbi said, “The main purpose of this event is to introduce female students to the different outdoor activities and clubs available in the Student Activities Department. We want to encourage and motivate female students to register with us and participate in clubs and activities which will improve and reinforce their skills within an appropriate community environment.”

The Student Activities Department offers a variety of activities including cultural and art activities, sports activities, and leadership skills training.

The cultural and art section is involved in motivating and supporting talented students in writing and painting pursuits, as well as theatrical and musical projects.

The sports activities and the health club departments offer a wealth of facilities, such as an Olympic swimming pool and a well-equipped gym, to motivate students and encourage them to participate in physical activity. The aim is to promote health and fitness and tackle obesity.

The student leadership section prepares students to become effective socially and globally aware, harmonious and unified leaders.
